Scratch!

latté… bagels… at long last.

Cindy and I went to Scratch Baking Co in South Portland this morning for my favorite bagels ever…

Scratch bagels are the best (in my opinion anyway)… photo courtesy Scratch Baking Co.

Those of you who have been following the blog for most of the trip will remember that I had a moment when I asked for anyone to overnight me some Scratch bagels. That never happened, but I kept searching for some that would compare (favorably) and never found their match.

    Hi Maureen-
pleased to see that you arrived “home” safe and sound. I always considered myself home when I hit the Portsmouth bridge, even though I still had about 200 more miles to go. We really enjoyed our chance meeting in Florida and following your adventures. Best wishes to you and family!

thanks Steve! It was really nice to meet you too. I’ve met a few “maineiacs” along the way just because of the Maine license plates!! best to you and yours.
