Tumbleweed update…

Early morning text from Doug in Amarillo:

“Hey Maureen! The engine had to come out to gain access to the lower rail for replacement!! Everything going well at this point.”

Why Grandma, what big teeth you have! Tumbleweed’s engine compartment, minus the engine…

The arrow shows the bent part that needs replacing…

More updates as they come along. Meanwhile, Max and I are heading off to the 3 Dog Café downtown for a morning latté and sit in the sun watching the world go by.

Are you gonna wait for that old tumbled tumbleweed to be repaired?

WTWGB has always been a favorite activity of mind, but way too little indulged in over the course of my life. I remember an especially primo instance at the San Francisco airport when four of us some fifty years ago, more than a little pleasantly zonked on some good weed, parked ourselves on one of those large, industrial strength airport sofas just big enough for the four of us, and engaged in a quiet running commentary among ourselves about how the continuously unfolding drama walking back and forth by us reminded us of specific zoological encounters we had severally had over our lives to that point in time. I remember one of us, probably midway through the hour, made the self reflective observation that, no doubt, we were providing exactly the same experience to the objects of our attention. Ddoubled the pleasure. Ah, the human zoo.

Gandalf– WTF? was my first reaction to WTWGB! but then, reading on I realized it was exactly what I just tried to do here in Silver City. Unfortunately, TWWSE! Let me know if you can’t figure that one out! but, yes. the human zoo. gotta love it!

  4. Ellie Adams says:

I love it!! You and Max are real troopers! I love to WTWGB as well (esp in the sun! I think I remember what that is like)!! Not sure about TWWSE!
