Rain, rain, everywhere…

Everywhere we want to go, they’re predicting rain, rain, rain, and more rain. Not to mention, that Florida is the only state in the continental US that does NOT have snow on the ground!

Even here in the Keys, the prediction is for rain tomorrow. BUT, the temperature will be around 70 versus 40s or 50s daytime if we head north up the gulf coast.

So, this morning I asked Becky if we could stay until Wednesday and the answer was YES. It feels good to have made that decision, plus Becky lowered our daily rate by $10 for staying longer. Suddenly, our little paradise away from home is looking even better.

I’m actually quite content here – yesterday’s post to the contrary. It’s a sweet place, with a heated pool (that I haven’t used yet), sandy waterfront on the Atlantic side of the highway, and a good-sized room with a kitchen. I’ve got supplies for a few more days of cooking anyway, so why head out into unknown territory just yet?

Since it may rain tomorrow, we’ll get out and take advantage of today’s good weather. And tomorrow? If it rains, I can bring my studio box inside and make some jewelry!

Oh joy!: A snug harbor to settle into with a good book (or a good jewelry making kit!), a great dog, and a glass of wine while the cares of the world are far away. You’re living the life, baby!

  2. Good change of heart and plans, Mom! Settle into paradise! love, Cin
